Mission Statement

The dredging committee is a group of residents of the BLSD. Any resident of the BLSD is welcome to join the committee. We meet on the second Tuesday of the month here in Burlington. 

• We will work to restore the lake to its former greatness while sharing that cost equitably with all who use it.
• We will work to explore grant opportunities through federal, state, county, and local municipalities to provide some of the funding for the project.
• We will work to continually update our website with current information on progress, funding sources, as well as estimated timelines for actual project work.
• We will work to protect and preserve the wildlife and patrons who call Browns Lake home now and for generations to come.
